What a wonderful weekend! It’s been a while since I’ve performed a wedding where the tradition of the Bride and Groom NOT seeing each other the day of the ceremony is observed. I’d forgotten how much joy and anticipation it can create and how many plans need to be made to keep them apart. Elizabeth radiated excitement as she prepared for the ceremony; Andy was relaxed and greatly anticipated the first glimpse of his bride.
I really enjoy meeting the friends and families of the Bride and Groom and every detail showed that this was very much a family event. Family came all the way from the UK to be a part of this special day, and were welcomed by all present. Even I felt very much at home with this awesome bunch of people.
As Andy and Elizabeth blended their families, the sand ceremony became an extra special time to celebrate. Watching the children blend their sand and then Andy and Elizabeth as a covering was proof that this was a marriage built on unity. This family has a lot to look forward to and great new memories to create together!
Congratulations Andy and Elizabeth on your marriage and your future together!
