When Nikki and James asked me to marry them I immediately saw that this young couple were making all the right choices. They were looking for a simple backyard wedding but wanted to include a number of items to recognize their spiritual upbringing.
When I showed up at the house it was pouring rain and the ceremony had to be moved inside the house (seems to be a theme this year) But it was all nicely setup and with a few close friends in attendance we had a great time. There was lots of laughter and joking around. Many pictures were taken and the bride and groom smiled through the entire process.
There was slight panic just before the ceremony as the bride's dress decided it had a mind of its own and began to refuse to cooperate. But a few saftey pins and a quick needle and thread had everything fixed up and looking great. I am pretty sure James was going to need a pair of scissors later on that night but hey that's another story.
In the end we had a fun ceremony with some real heartfelt moments.

Fort Edmonton Park is an incredible location for a wedding. Chase and Kenrose Maxwell discovered this on Sept 15 as we all gathered at the historic St Michael and All Angels Anglican Church.
